When most of my stomach was removed, I lost my ability to burp. Strange but true. Now I have a 6-oz stomach and with bubbles 4 ounces of beer is uncomfortable and yet not enough. Any more than 4 oz is downright painful! OTOH, 6 ounces of wine is fine. :D A Scotch, straight up is better!

As to bottles and boxes, my camping preference is for boxed red (cabernet sauvignon or merlot) wine. I don't have to worry about recorking anything (or finishing a bottle in an evening  ), or a bottle breaking in the cooler on a rough road.

I prefer beer. Ice cold out of a bottle. The colder the better.

For me, it's a good beer. When I say good, I mean a good craft beer or one that I homebrewed. I did at one time enjoy wines but as I started a family, the expense of wine became a luxury I dropped. My wife is really into wine now that we can "afford" it, but I still prefer beer. I keep telling her that $30 buys her 1 bottle of wine from her wine club but it would buy me enough ingredients to brew a 5 gallon batch of beer. If I go somewhere that doesn't carry any good craft beers, I won't bother to have an alcoholic beverage. I'll opt for a diet coke instead. Speaking of homebrew, I think I'll go get one right now...

Cheers!
