I was waiting for your review, Elm! Glad you liked it!
We even had Red Robin up in Brooklyn.

Pixar Had a contract to make 5 major picts for Disney and after the third I heard they we're at odds over marketing rights and such. The relationship was so bad that Pixar broke off talks to make anymore picts after the 5 and Disney started it's own CGI group that made "Chicken Little". But the issue of marketing rights for the Pixar movies was still an issue, so I guess they thought it would be easier to just buy them out instead of fighting.
The crash of "the king" is a frame by frame recreation of Rusty's big crash from a few years ago. Petty's crash at Daytona, he took out part of the fense along the way.

Well, yes, the true "short" was before the movie...at the end there's an extra "bit" where the Mr. & Mrs. Minivans from the Midwest turn up again. A bit of a jab in reference to the Mr. Minivan not wanting to use a map, having instead relied upon his GPS...

[/quote]Elmer, make sure you sit through all of the final closing credits, and keep your eye out for the "Dedicated to" thing. Someone died not too long ago, car accident, who did voices in a few Pixar pics.
