I had the same question. We took a poll. Could use your input and vote.

The only bad picture is no picture. I have a couple of 49cc scooters a 250 must have quite a bit of power.

It'll do about 70mph by the speedometer, but they say most motorcycles and scooter speedometers actually read faster than they are going. It does get a little skittish at highway speeds, but handles like a dream in town and in parking lots.

On May 23rd I became the proud owner of a Genuine Buddy 150 in the Italia style. I love it! I've been riding it nearly every day to work despite the cold weather we have been having.

It goes 65 mph and gets 80 mpg. It handles like a dream and is just plain fun! I've had dirt bikes and street bikes but this is the best fun I've ever had.

As soon as we get a little sun around here I plan on taking some pictures and posting them.

Today I passed my motorcycle safety course! 8) I was only interested in licensing for scooters so I had to bring my own scooter to use instead of the class cycles.

There she is near the end of the line-up

Here she is up close and personal like Image

The course was fantastic! I learned a lot and it was well worth the time and money spent.

The instructors were fun, knowledgeable and never talked down to ya! :)

I am a happy, scootin' camper!!

Thanks much! The company that makes it is called, Genuine Buddy. My model is the Italia International 150.

I went up to the licensing department to turn in my card showing that I had passed my motorcycle safety class. I gave the gal my card, my motorcycle permit card and my drivers license. She gave me back a drivers license with a full motorcycle permit. She never turned the card over to read that I had only qualified on automatic scooters.

So maybe next weekend I'll go test drive some Harleys!!!

Last summer I bought an AMG Nitro (Sachs Madass in Europe and USA) . I bought it because it has all the features of a modern motorcycle not scooter . It weighs in at 200 lbs . It has huge disc brakes and mountain bike type stance and motorcycle sized tires .

Unfortunately the only model available to Canada was a 50cc automatic . It was dangerously slow . It was set up to go a maximum of 46kph and it was screaming when it did it .

The motor is a Honda clone . Apparently Honda's patent ran out and everyone has been copying their engine . Because of this there are new aftermarket parts everywhere .

Over the winter I installed a 88cc Big Bore kit , a new much larger carb and intake manifold and I spent several hours "race porting" the head with the die grinder .

Image

The bike is now completely usable . I can cruise at 55kph and max out at about 65kph . With different gearing I could get it to do 75 but I would lose all bottom end . With my backpack I am pushing 275lbs .

The only thing that I do not like is the automatic transmission but after it has finished shifting it is a dream .

I live in the country and use it to cruise the country roads . It has the perfect setup for this as well as light trail riding . When I want to travel along the beach sand I switch to the original smaller drive sprocket and cruise the sand effortlessly .

The 125cc four speed model would be a great choice . AMG wanted to sell the 125cc model in Canada but it is sadly now out of business . As I understand it they lasted less than 8 months in Canada . ...... D.J.
