Can you imagine what a powerful propaganda tool that could make them? Personally I view Snopes with about the same degree of confidence as any other source of information on the internet, if not a bit more dangerous than most. They, can be, and in some cases are wrong, just like anyone else.

They don't just say true of false, they give a history of where the stories came from, and how they came to verify or debunk the story. Most importantly, they cite sources in detail.
Snopes.com has come under attack from political extremists who don't like the outcome of their research. The facts don't support the charges, but that's politics for you.![]()
Now, the video of the whale and the kayaker was actually made from footage of a whale by itself, with the kayaker digitally placed into the video by an ad agency. It was done for a TV commercial in Korea for Powerade Energy Drink.
Why would you doubt that?
