A friend of mine has a tree service and cut down a huge cedar (Don't ask me what the owner was thinking!) He said they were such nice pieces that he hated to cut it up and put it by the street and he had two huge 10 foot long pieces if I wanted them. I came over and helped him load a couple loads of brush and then we very carefully (so as not to get crushed) loaded these gargantuan pieces into the trailer along with some other smaller pieces.
The original idea was to use them as posts for the deck cover that I am going to put on the shop but they are so huge, they might be too huge! So I haven't decided what to do with them. I was thinking standing them up at the entrance to my driveway, or maybe have them milled into planks to build some furniture out of. Other ideas?
