How long would something like this run off a deep cell battery? http://www.windrockoffroad.com/catalog/ ... egory=1309

The battery I am looking at rated at 140 hrs.

Thanks,

Assuming you don't want to discharge below 50%, you can run that blanket for about 10 hours. (140 AH / 6.7 A = ~20 H)

I'll leave the discussion of battery life vs. cycle depth to others.

That is a good price but the 10 hours is low amp draw!

100% polar fleece material. Plugs directly into your cigarette lighter socket. 8' power cord with LED indicator on the plug. Double bed size blanket folds easily for storage in the included zippered bag. 6.7 amp low amp draw (80.4W).

If you just need something to warm up the bed it might work great. I have an electric blanket for that purpose.

Nothing beats a good down comforter. I have a 12v electric blanket, but it is only a pre-heater. I haven't camped yet where it was cold enough to need it more than that.
