Here in Norway, the "Tears" are not plentyfull, but a lot of people at least the classic car guys, have thought about having one.
A lot of foldable campers, newer with tents, an older with hard sides is still in use, and owners keep them tight!
I´m 48y.o. and have a great interest in the US cars of the -50s, and also everything about it, music, accessories and more.
After some years travelling at meetings around Scandinavia with tent or campers, i found that the Tear is most suitable for my purpose.
I made a small one some years ago who the snow ( approx. 78" ) brake down, but it was really light, and not strong enough.......
Yet my plan is to built something suited to my purpose, and keep the ease of trailering, but big enough to have a nice time, even when weather is bad. And, the Cabin Car /Kampmaster seems nice. CabinCar is a little to high, but the profile is great, perhaps a cross between is the solution.
Here is a pic where one friends foldable camper is in the sight, behind my car, built in Norway in the late 50s- 60s. Its called the "little brother"
really nice, but to little.......? its folded down to just the grey underwagon.
