Hi All,
Fantastic website, so much information and great ideas.
Building a TD looks like the perfect project !
I even have an old trailer for starters :D

Hi Paul.
I'm in Newcastle NSW. I almost made it to Adelaide a few months back. I was doing a re-enactment of a 1967 road trip on the Great Ocean Road. Got as far as Mt Gambier but the weather was so miserable I turned back. Now if I'd had a TD instead of a tent I would have been better off ! That seems to be the way to go.

Ken :)

Hello Paul and Thanks for the kind words.

I've just looked at your album. Very nice teardrop. I really like the big window. Has that worked out well? I also have a smallish sized car, so don't want to build a big wide one. I'll pick yor brains for ideas

Ken:

The big window has worked out excellently. I just camped last weekend and it was in the 90's and humid all day, cooling to the mid 70's at night. Having the breeze come in that big window made it bearable.

My trailer tows like a dream with my 1.6L Hyundai. On a couple big hills, I had to downshift to 4th gear, but most of the time it was business as usual. Just like driving with it full of people.

Hi Ken welcome to the wonderful world of teardrop campers. This is a great forum and I am sure that you will find all the help and inspiration here you need. Traveling in teardrop is a lot fun and with the cost of fuel today very economical. ;)
Cheers Dave
