Greets from Cinci! (OH, USA)

Postby ews2112 » Thu Jul 15, 2010 1:45 pm

First I'd like to say 'Hello' and 'Thank You'...I've been pouring over these boards since March when my brother first introduced me to to the idea of an affordable, do-it-yourself travel trailer. I imediately began researching online and found this FANTASTIC forum full of friendly, helpful people.

I hail from Cincinnati, Ohio and have (after spending hours and hours designing and reading and reading and changing my designs) finally begun to build. My build is not going to be a TearDrop, as the entire purpose of this project is family travel and togetherness...and there are four of us.

This is where I am with the design:

I have some photos and will start a build journal sometime today or tomorrow.

Thanks again for the inspiration and education!

Welcome to the forum. I like your placement for the air conditioner. No air directly blowing on sleepers.

My wife and I will be bringing our teardrop through Cincinnati in September to attend a wedding in Cleveland. We enjoy having breakfast at highly-recommended local diners. Got any recommendations of Cincinnati breakfast spots for us? Thanks.

An' churish them 'at loves you, an' dry the orphant's tear,
An' he'p the pore an' needy ones 'at clusters all about,

I have started my Build Journal... <edit 7/26/10>

Paul - I like to keep it simple...I have further plans for shelves/cabinets on the interior, but I am going to build it without and get it road-worthy so we can take it out on several short trips to decide what we really want, not just what I'm guessing will work best. I hope to get it out for a few trips this season and then I can work on it indoors this winter.

Don - Thanks for the welcome. There is a fantastic Sunday Brunch at a place called The Grand Finale (Glendale, OH...just north of Cincinnati off of I75)
