Hi All,
I've been lurking around this site for a bit. My friend Barb is a member and has built a couple of teardrops. I am finishing a build of a basic camper trailer about 5.5 X 9.5 feet X about 5 feet high (inside height) I used an old frame from a pop up, built a base/floor of treated ply, walls of osb, roof of aluminum, and covered with cloth glued and painted. I trimmed out the exterior with reclaimed oak. Inside I just have two beds, two kitchen cabinets, a fold down table and one built in cabinet. I just have to wire trailer lights, finish painting the exterior, and rebuild the electric brakes before getting the thing weighed and getting plates. I'm not much for posting pictures but the exterior shape is angular ala the weekender but the bottom is squared off to get max interior space. I intend to use my trailer for whitewater kayaking and camping with my wife. This has been a learning experience and a recycling project for me. I'm working on some ideas to build a very light trailer next winter that I could tow behind pretty much anything. Your site has been a great resource for me. Thanks!
