Hello all. I found this site by accident. When I was a little guy, back in the mid sixties, my parents had an old teardrop camper that Dad gave twenty dollars for. I loved that old camper. We camped all over southern California where we lived at the time. I have done the tent, tent camper and the motorhome thing. In my mind, the teardrop camper is the answer for me. I Googled teardrop camper one day, and found this fantastic site. I have lurked for a while, amazed at the builds some of you have done. I never gave a thought to building my own. It just never entered my mind, until now. There is so much information here, it boggles the mind. I had no idea anyone even remembered what a teardrop was. Thank goodness for this site. In a few weeks I will be starting my own build thanks to this site. The people here are very helpful, no matter the question. Everyone here seems to be folks I would like to know personally. It's not often you come across a web site where everyone is like family. My name is Bob, and hope to get to know some of you.

This is what I'm talking about. People reaching out. Neil and Ramona, thanks for the invite to Cloudland Canyon State Park. My wife and I would love to come, but right now we don't have anything to camp in. Cliff and Sheri, I've been watching your build, and would love to sit around a campfire and talk ideas about teardrops with you. Mychell, we'll meet up one day. Thawley, what part of SoCal are you in? I lived in Westminster until 1971, then moved back to Canton, Ohio, where I was born. I've been in Buchanan, Ga. for 27 years now.

Bob if i had a way I would bring my small tear as I should have my new one atleast campable for Cloudland. I would let ya'll use it for the weekend. If you need to I do have a couple of tents and can bring one of those with me. We don't care what your in as long as you come and have fun! My first gathering was AL first where I met Neil and Ramona and I was in a tent in 25 degree weather , woke up with snow even!
