I am one of you now!

I just bought a teardrop trailer!

Found it on craigslist. It was being sold by a tow yard who had towed it after it was abandoned. It needs a lot of work. One flat tire, one door falling off the frame, and filthy, filthy filthy. Only $400!!! Now I've got a project!

I can't wait. The interior is going to be totally glamped!

Thanks!

It is an interesting design. What's odd about it is that it is backwards! The narrow end faces front. Anybody ever see one like this before?

Zack welcome to the teardrop community !! You may not want to proclaim to loudly that you are one of us as friends and relatives will be recommending that you see a mental health professional ! What a bargain you found with your tear, most of us paid around $300.00 to $400.00 for just the trailer frame. I just can't believe that some one just walked away from you little baby but am sure there are some emergency issues that prompted them to do so. Good luck with your refresh. lee

Welcome back, Zack! It's been over 7 years since you last posted. It's good to know that you didn't give up.

That backwards teardrop doesn't look to be in too bad a shape for having been abandoned. You should be able to get that usable rather quickly. I hope you don't have any problems registering it. That's the first thing that I would try to do. Congratulations on your find! :applause:

Hi Zack,

Welcome back - you must have been one of the first members around here.

Tre chic, on that purple handbag ! Ha ! - It's great to see a guy willing to hold
a gal's handbag for them while they're doing something - in this case taking the pic.

That is quite a unique design on that TD. Be sure to do a build journal on the refurbishment.
I'm sure it has picqued some interest already - it's nice to see different approaches to
TD design.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

Neat.

It looks like a door stop on wheels. But a bed is a bed when you are out camping.
Is it setting on two trailers frames?

Clean it up and make it your own camper. We’ll see you out there in the camp grounds.

Actually my gal is inside the trailer, checking out the space. I'm holding the handbag with one hand and keeping the door from falling off with the other.

Will definitely post a build journal. More pics are coming, as soon as I get it home. We are still waiting for the paperwork, and I need to figure out the hitch situation.

One of a kind camper on two trailers! What did you end up doing to get it towed home?
