Hi,
I've been looking in on this site for a while now and finally decided to register. I want to than all of you for your wealth of knowledge and your willingness to share. I am in the process of building a Tear with the help of Steve Fredericks manual and all of your posts. Here are some pictures of my progress.

Hi Terry,

Welcome to T&TTT.

That's a beautiful In-lay. It's going to make a nice TD looking profile. I can see this one will be "Fine".

Keep us up to date with your build.

Welcome Terry, very nice looking start, I like the triple teardrops in your inlay.

I'm in Edmonton and look forward to seeing more of your build.

Thanks guys. Here are a couple of more pictures of my progress. I just got the side panels cut out today as well as was working on the sunken floor. I am fabricating it out of an old steel toolbox that was being thrown out at work.

I am hoping to get the ledge cut in the frames and get them glued to the sides this week. Next weekend hopefully get the bulkheads done and then the real construction starts.

Hey Terry,
Beautiful sides----seems a shame to have to cut Doors thru them  Maybe you should ship them to me and start over :D Or do a reverse profile to save that beautiful inlay, by the way, what kind of wood is that inlay??? Really tho--NICE JOB--your moving right along--can't wait to see MORE!!! :applause:

Thanks Madjack ,John

Unfortunately the shipping costs from northern Alberta would be just too much, only for that I would send them right to you John. As for the inlay wood it is Bumbinga. I was thinking of something exotic like Tiger wood, but , the cost was enormous. The Bumbinga was expensive, but, not too bad. Can't wait to get back at it.

In the field of psychology, the clinical term for this symptom presentation is "Clamp Envy".

Oh, and yes, those are some nice looking TD wall inlays!

Clamps are like friends, you can never have too many.
Well, I got some more work done.
Here is the side propped up on the trailer.

Here is my dog, Jula, checking out the progress.

The inside skins cut.

And here is the most amazing thing of all. Here is the guy from the DOT stamping the frame with a new VIN. After reading all the problems that people were having getting this done, I was quite worried so I contacted them last week, thinking that it would take forever to get a response. Lo and behold he called me Friday night and came out to my house on Saturday and put the plat on for me. He didn't care what the trailer was being used for, just that the parts weren't stolen. He had a look around my garage extremely interested in the whole process, and now he is thinking about building a camper to fit in the box of his truck.
