I think Minnesota Parks are spendy and purchased an Annual Pass last year and it offers considerable savings for stays in Minnesota State Parks (about 1/2 off) and I also purchased an "Old Guy" Federal Recreation Life pass that offers great savings as well... It allowed us to travel through Yellow Stone and Teton Nation Parks FREE last year and camping is greatly reduced as well...

Have you checked on these and Do Wash and/or Oregon offer State Park passes... ???
Yes, there are passes for state parks but for day use only in Oregon and Washington. And they don't give any breaks to old folks, but I will check into it again, since I am officially old folks now. I pay $50 for two years to park in day use lots, but I'm only 30 miles from the coast and stop in reasonably often. I have the America the Beautiful pass but I haven't attempted to use it for camping yet.
I thought you had probably checked it out already. I saw where there was an annual pass for $85, but wasn't sure if it was for camping or not...... Oh well, a person needs to check on these things and save $$ where you can...
I've talked to BLM. If the guy knew, he said the America the Beautiful is good for many federal type parks which don't usually have flush facilities and such. But he said some campgrounds are contracted out and those people charge but probably not too much. He said to stop at a forest service office and see if they have brochures, which I will do. I hadn't looked into it before because I didn't really need to, but I am rather curious and like to save money. Going to the coast, the casinos are a good place sometimes. That pass costs the average bear $80 a year. But old folks get it for $10 for life, and that works for me!
