hello from the Pacific Northwet

Hi all, my name is Mark, I've just joined this remarkable forum and am quite excited to find you all. I'm planning to start on a trailer as soon as I finish trimming the skylights in my wife's office and studio (according to her).

We're both enthusiastic campers but haven't been lately, I think we're feeling done with tent camping, maybe winter camping in Death Valley has something to do with that. If we could only go camping and stay cozy in the cold and heat....hmm, maybe a little trailer is just the thing.

My two big passions (outside of my family, two kids in college) are photography and motorcycle touring. We have been taking long motorcycle trips at least once a year, we did the Oregon and California coast (Highway 1) last fall, planning to do Utah, Four Corners, San Diego this fall. Eastern California (Mono and Mammoth Lakes) is very beautiful. Death Valley is great as well, just a tad cold in the winter. Oh, and canoeing, three passions.

Here is my photo website:

Welcome Mark & Wife. Welcome to the land of addicted people.

So, what ya going to build? Have you figured it out yet?

There are lots of people on the forum there in the Portland area, see if you can get to know some of them, they will give you some tips on where to get some of the components of your build.

KISS is the best way to go.

Welcome, Mark. I hope you've visited this thread re-introducing myself as Michael (trabant) has put a link to an old brochure for the Aillette or Piccolo trailer that your MGB is towing.

Wait, what's that? It's only a model, you say?

8) Hello and Welcome, Mark.

Check out the link below for information on the IRG gatherings held down in NW Calif. in the Redwoods. Perhaps you and the missus will be able to come on down for the 2.0 version of the IRG in 2008....that is if you get your "honeydo" jobs done for the wife. Attendees coming to the IRG are encouraged to have a 'completed' trailer though, obviously, not required. However, I'm very SURE that Dean will have one of the two done for the event by next summer.

Best wishes,
