My wife and I just bought a new Cargo that I will be converting into a camper/toyhauler (for our Rhino). We live in rural northern Nevada.
We have dry camped for over 30 years starting with tents and selling our 3rd Pop-up just a few months ago. Most of our camping is done in central and northern Nevada with Oregon and Idaho mixed in for good measure. We have stayed in established campgrounds only a handful of times. We are leaving the pop-ups for the Cargo because of the ease of set-up and take down as well as being able to take the Side by Side when we go Chukar hunting or exploring.
We are so happy we found this forum! What a wealth of ideas!
Here is what we are starting with:
The photo above shows my first "mod". 2 coats of porch paint with grit. The Rhino is inside to measure for the flush mounted heavy duty tie downs.
The Specs:
7X14 Carry-on Cargo Trailer
tandem axles (3500 lb each)
2500 pounds dry weight. (7000GVW)
RV side door
Rear Jacks
¾ inch plywood floor and walls
6 feet 6 inches tall and wide inside
