BigE:

You've found the right place for all your needs. Read through a few (or tons) of the build threads for ideas. You'll find that while we all may do things a little differently, you'll be able to find methods that you are comfortable with.

Welcome!

Hey BigE,

Welcome from the other side of the big pond, the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, USA!

There are a lot of good ideas here, many resources, and some good folks. We have other members in Scotland, too.

Welcome aboard, and keep us posted as to your progress, as you design and build your camper! Post pictures of the camper in progress, too!

Welcome! We visited beautiful Scotland last summer and want to go back! We live in the north central part of the US. There are other Scots in the forum; I'm sure you'll hear from them and other UK members.

You don't need a book or buy plans, they are all here in the design library.
There are no rules,no right or wrong, just what suits you.
If you want some sizes from mine, you are more than welcome.
The pod is at my folks house in Motherwell if you want a look i'll meet you there.

Graeme.

Hi Big E
Welcome to the forum from another Brit builder.
Have you checked out the Design library for a few ideas....The hall of fame is also packed with inspirational trailers.

We don't have a UK section on this board, but you could check out tearjerkers, as we have a growing membership in the UK chapter.
The Teardrop club of Great Britain was recently set up in order to raise awareness of teardrops on our side of the pond. We have a growing membership,s of lookers but could always do with more input.

You're going to love the journey this is going to take you on 8) 8)
I'm nearing completion of number three..... and already have number four , and five going in my head

As Heikki said ... highly addictive

Cheers, Dave

Hi Big E , Evan here from Airdrie welcome to the club[forum]. I was also a joiner before I was restored to sanity but it comes in handy when you love making stuff. I found this site by accident while looking for boat plans and stumbled onto Angibs site where there are plans of every description and was instantly hooked. You will find everything you need to know on this site and if you cant find it just ask. There are a few guys from from Glasgow who would be able to help you with sourcing materials locally. I found caravan wheels and windows etc in a scrapyard in Muirhead and know that they have a fairly decent caravan with good windows and they are very resonable for prices compared to ebay. Anyway bye for now Evan.
