Newbie from Oklahoma

Postby backwoods_rick » Fri Jan 07, 2011 9:47 pm

Rick saying hello everyone from central Oklahoma. I've gone from tent camping all the way up to 30' fifth wheels and back down again and I must say that I seem to have more fun when the scale is much smaller. I'm currently building my latest project (will post pics later) which is a 4 x 8 trailer on 12" wheels that has an angle iron frame with 20" sides and covered with expanded metal. Tow vehicle is a toyota corolla.

I want to thank everyone in advance for having such a great forum and allowing folks like myself to join right in. I look forward to learning a lot and contributing to the discussions as well.

Thanks Whitney for the warm welcome. We hope to have ours ready to roll in a few weeks.

Thanks Linda, we look forward to meeting you as well. We wanted to make the Broken Bow trip and the Natural Falls trip as well, but we still have one at home until the end of May and not sure what our weekends will be like. We plan on relocating this year to NE Ok so its good to know we'll have a camping buddy close by.

Thanks again guys,
Rick

Well Linda, maybe we'll get a chance to meet everyone at some point throughout the coming year. I know we're looking forward to it.

Thanks Jewel, the welcome is greatly appreciated. 20" sides ??, I can't explain it but let's just say it will probably be posted under the non-traditional thread lol.

Finally Got Her Finished

Postby backwoods_rick » Sat Mar 12, 2011 9:14 pm

It took nearly two months but she's finished and we can now join in on those wonderful trips we see everyone post about. The pictures are in my album along with a new topic under "Non-Traditional Designs". Comments welcome both good and bad.

Look forward to the next get-together.
