Like I need "another" hobby :)

Hi All,

longtime lurker, been drooling over your work for awhile, decided to start pulling my plans together for a build.

As the title states, not sure if I need another project, as I dabble in alot already, but I can't help it, the creations displayed here have me addicted.

In 2002 I founded and run a similar DIY forum tailored to handmade fishing tackle. We're celebrating our 10 year anniversary and have met great members from around the globe. Creating friendships from like minded folks online has been a real treat and hope to make some friends here as well. 8)

Anyway, I'm a 15yr. professional cabinetmaker by trade and have a variety of tools at my trailer making disposal,
2 of the more useful for a trailer build is our hydraulic laminate press used for laminating plastic and wood veneers onto a substrate, really handy and produces a perfectly flat laminate sheet good (I wanna try foamboard insulation [XPS] soon)....... it presses sheet goods up to 1'x4'x10'

And our hardest working toy, a 5'x12' Holzer CNC with vacuum.

Oddly enough, with all my tooling between home and work, My first build will likely be traditional stick frame and sheething due to the size and design im looking to achieve, but I'll save the particulars for another thread.

Anyway, again, thank you for allowing me to join such a talented, helpful and passionate group of folks! :)

What a great tool, most sides of the TD are either 4X8 or 4X10. Laminating a plastic sheet to wood would make a perfect skin for the sides. I used contact cement to attach my aluminum to wood but I wish I could have found some other product. With that tool your build should be a snap. Good luck and I'm looking forward to seeing your progress.
