Framed the ceiling vent. Just a normal vent, not a fantastic fan.

I also sealed the gaps up front in the floor with "great stuff". Bought the panels I'll be using for the interior. I've got a few decisions to make before moving on, specifically about how I'm doing the front cabinet area and how much wiring will be done. Then the sides will go on. Hope to go ahead and paint or stain the sides next weekend in prep for install.

You've gotten the ball rolling. Stay with it.

Amazing how much light a little hole in the roof can supply.

No progress this weekend. Actually, have to back up. I used the trailer on Sunday to move some furniture and it was raining. No, my roof vent didn't leak, but the front was soaking wet inside. Now, I'm going to remove the insulation and see what I can do to waterproof the front of the trailer. Thinking about roll-on (or spray can) truck bed liner. We'll see what happens. Was hoping to have the interior sheeting up by this weekend, but looking doubtful now.

There are alot of seams on the front. Can you just caulk them?

GarArnett,

Now you know why the floor was in bad condition in the front. You could go out when it is real dark one night with a helper. Have the helper shine a light all over outside the CT and look for the light shining thru. If the skin is good and it is just the seams you could just seal them.

I have done auto glass for many years and would like to give you a little advice on finding and fixing leaks.

First, use a hose to check for leaks and when you find it, fix it from the outside. When you try to fix from the inside the water will just migrate somewhere else and still come in.

Start low on the trailer with the hose and gradually move your way up. If you just start running water all over the top, its very hard to discover the source. When you get to the top, hold the hose to one side and then the other. You are going to need someone inside helping with a flashlight or they can run the hose with you inside.

I honestly don't know the best product for a trailer, because its different materials than a car. I would ask here or a local trailer/camper sales place. When you find out what kind of sealant to use and get your leak fixed, share it here so we will have that info.

Hope this can help in some way.

I sealed every seam from the outside with silicone caulk like I used on the roof vent. Seems to have worked. Got 1 coat of paint on the floor and stalled for a bit. I did get new led tail lights in though. Hoping things will calm down so I can get back to work on it.

Finally got back to work last weekend and this weekend. Hope to get a little more done Sunday. Got some nice LED wireless lights to use around the inside - hope to install 2 tomorrow also.
