Check one of my previous posts as there are photos of the factory wiring for a HaulMark 6x10 v-nose CT.

I was trying to figure out where the hundreds of lady bugs in my conversion came from... when I tore out the front panels to finish the insulation, I found out. Massive holes where the wires came through. I sealed them all with silicone, no more lizards/lady bugs since

Bkcreation34 wrote:I bought the trailer and been buying things for it over the past couple of months. I started first with taking the factory paneling down and notice what others have run into and that is the factory wiring is horrible. For haulmark brand I was hoping for a better job on wiring. So to be safe and for it to last I am in the process of having it all rerun for wires. The factory job was loose connections and wires run in front of metal stud and covered by panel, who does that because overtime wire will rub and short out from exposed to metal stud. I have a deadline due to going to AL on the 31st. I have a large project list and friends to help me get half way there. My main focus is to fix the factory wiring and then wire in 120 volt service. I am going overboard on the panel but I rather go big then to small, I am going to have 2 gfi waterproof outlets outside of trailer. Then gfi inside and then 10 outlets around the inside. I bought a 30 amp service cord and outlet for camper to use at campground. I will have pictures soon. Also one other thing with factory job at haulmark up by v-nose when I took the paneling off I saw a large gap I could see straight outside what the heck. And it was missing one steel support by v-nose so a lot of unexpected things needed to be fixed before hand. Does anyone have any good spots for camping in Kentucky and tenn and AL let me know.

For 12 volt service I bought a samlex 50 watt solar panel for roof with a tilt mount to charge battery so when I go off grid I can have ights yet.

Whether cargo or utility, I've often replaced or improved wiring.

I tend to solder whenever possible, with shrink tube.

I also have a 2012 haulmark 6 x 12 viewtopic.php?f=42&t=50487

Look at my thread..you will see my step mount should be the same for your rig as well..
i painted my floor with non skid, will throw a piece of carpet in when i go camping and take it out when i use it for storage hauling. Im painting my walls also that already have 3/8 ply on them to save weight...
I was thinking of spray insulation underneath..but i think rocks and road dirt would erode it away after a while..unless you covered it with some kind of sheeting
I mounted my batteries under the floor, you can look at my thread....ill post more pics on the cabinets as i build them out! Ive spent a lot of time with wiring my 110 outlets and 12 volt dc outlets also! installing the inverter and fuse panel now..

I bought the 6.6 gallon Big Kahuna as my initial shower set-up. It's 12v, but the hot water is solar powered, meaning it gets hot in the sun ;)
That's a good place to start for me and an outside shower. I found mine on eBay for $70, but they usually run in the $100 range. It puts out a nice spray, and works well on my Rhino for a wash down.

My buddy bought, and we used, this last spring http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TX ... PDKIKX0DER

I also plan to buy one in time for my next off-power trip in the fall. If you pair it with a 12v pump, it was a pretty darn good shower  I plan to use that for my hot water in my bathroom, and the exterior shower. It's just in the planning phases now though. Having used one for a 3 days, my girl and I are both fans of the Ecotemp.

The only problem I saw with that unit, is how hot the water was. It is variable based on water pressure. If you have more water flowing, you need a higher temp. If you are just flowing the shower head on a light spray from the pump, the ecotemp needs to be on a relatively low setting. It'll scald a hog I tell ya! :frightened:  Seriously though, you have to watch out, because if you bump the dial, you will feel the heat...

a Self-contained shower is all I'm lacking for my camper.
I've been checking out what others have done. I'd like to come off a splitter on my outside road side sink to electric on demand water heater. the 115v are pricey but shrugs... it's what I want. LOL

I went with a 2 gal tank 110AC heater, and it works great, if you have shore power or a generator, that is. it was just under $200. If we plan a shower, I turn it on and let it heat for about 10mins, take a shower, then let it reheat for the next shower. :rainy:

Here's some pixs/info on the heater I went with:

I have a Honda 2000, and yes a Yamaha would be a good one too.

I see Home Depot has a lot of small water heaters ans well as tankless heaters.

Hope that helps
