I showered and slept in my CTC. I wanted to check how the computer fan would work. Also wanted to sleep on my "sofa" to see how comfortable it is all night. But I had a rough night. I had over worked and wasn't able to have a comfortable sleep. My lift bed is much better! Moisture wasn't bad, screws and door frames had moisture. But walls weren't sweating. used my old electric heater. Temps didn't fall low over night upper 40's I had thought it was a frost warming

That was a lot of wood! Is that enough for your winter.. or do you need a few more of those?

Glad to hear the fan and all worked as you intended.. I suppose it will be Spring before the CTC sees any action again?

I was planning a fall color trip. I tested my bathroom fan in anticipation of it. As of tonight I won't be going on a fall color trip. I needed a house sitter. My mother was going to do. She called tonight, to tell me, she's hurt herself caring for great grand baby.
Your joking about the wood right. No that's right your in Florida. ! That's only enough for a month, or so. I need a lot more. I heat with an outdoor boiler. Heats house and domestic hot water and my pole barn. I keep the heat in pole barn at minimum it stays 48-50. And it is fully insulated.
Sleeping in CTC again tonight. Sad it's just in driveway.

To bad your not closer, I've got around 6 full cords or so split and stacked and another two or three cut , all hardwood I'd be willing to share with you.

Thanks, just a little far..
Most of what I'm getting is green ash.
I have some spongy popular and maple. It's good for this time of year. I'm not sure how the ash will burn. I'd prefer oak, maple and beech. But beggars can't be choosers. If I have the funds I can get some slab wood from the saw mill.

All kinds of good firewood at the curbside here in Florida courtesy of Hurricane Mathew. It is a shame to see all that good Oak going to the landfills.

Didn't know it went to landfills. That's is waste full. Only in America. Looks like NC got hit worse than Florida. Glad my niece and grand niece are in MI., now.

Ain't it though Don. I usually get quite a bit every year after a few storms doing exactly that, riding thru neighborhoods with my chainsaw and trailer. We had a microburst come down close to work this summer and did some major damage. I got two full truck and trailer loads from the roadside before the city and tree service companies got their hands on it. I took it to Mom and Dad's place in the country to store/season it. After hunting season I'll get the splitter out and go to work on it unless Dad beats me to it.

Its sort of mine!

I use to have a chipper. Any trees that came down or were taken down in my neighborhood I'd cleanup for the wood. Always had wood. It wasn't until I had health issues that I had to start buying and begging for wood.

So I've been "testing" cool temp showers/sleeping.
Noticed water on floor after showering. First time I thought Eli stuck his head in shower. But watched last night. Nope drain leaking! Re-caulked. Hung blackest for a sleeping chamber. Blankets fell 5 minutes later. Got to make 3 with grommets or ? One for ramp door one for entry door and one for dividing bed from front of trailer. Door frames and screws sweat enough to drip. But walls do not.
Bad- I folded up the blankets then moved them. I wanted them well away from heaters. But the stack still fell over the electric heater sometime in the night. Thankfully I noticed something wasn't right. Fixed it without burning blankets or burning up heater.

What kind of temp/relative humidity are you having in Michigan? Maybe there is another issue at play here. Water on floor=leak somewhere. Ok so any water that does make out in water form will try to make it out in vapour form at some point. So maybe there is a puddle that you can't see or saturation in an unknown area. We have been low around 22-25f and humidity at 86%. Lots of fog and frost and hoarfrost but no sweating w/elect. heat. The elect heater should actually dry out the air inside. OK short check list, hot showers? That would add moisture but fan running exhausting through vent?
Should eliminate most of steam instantly. No big soup pots boiling all day or humidifiers running right? Eli isn't coming in after a dip in the river? Well, either your trailer is sealed so tight that respiration from you and dog can't escape, or your living with more than 100% humidity witch means it should be raining or snowing all the time, or possibly the water on floor indicates another problem. Check your vent stack first. Ive seen your plumbing and it looks good, but look for a leak. May just need more fresh air flow. Check that flooring insulation to be sure its not saturated. I just don't think you should be seeing ANY dripping at this point with elect heater. See if you can get some data like low temp, relative humidity and dew point. That could help make sense of things.
Good Luck and try to get back to me with some info, I just don't want you to have a chronic leak or end up with mold.

Do you have an upper vent open while you are sleeping or showering? Even when the temps are in the teens I sleep with the upper vent open part way. Just breathing puts out a lot of moisture.

No roof vents, no known leaks other than the shower drain(fixed?) It does have the two 3" air vents one on floor & one that I hooked computer fan to. My frame is aluminum tube, that insulation it in between not over. No funds to do more than that when I started my conversion. Even if I had the screws would still be in to frame. I have a Celsius thermometer in CTC, that I don't think is anywhere near accurate. Or maybe my math is really that bad. I'll take out my downstairs one tonight.
I wipe out the shower and place wet stuff in plastic bag other than my towel that I hang by heater.
