LED lights?

Postby sactoller » Wed Sep 08, 2010 9:11 am

Has anyone tried these lights?

http://www.easternmarine.com/24-LED-Utility-12-Strip-Light-w/Pigtail-Switch-50023712/

I am thinking they will give out more light for my 7x14.

Thanks,
Jason

Some LEDs are brighter than others. It is hard to say how much light these will produce. But LEDs are very efficient and if you are concerned about power these are the way to go.

The description says " Excellent low cost solution for adding a dependable light source either under water or on land." I think I would keep them above the water. :)

You'll like those if they are anything like the bulbs I bought for my overheads. I bought quite a number of things off Superbright - they've got some nice stuff on there!

I've been using lights similar to these, bought from this store, right in my regular 12-volt light fixtures. Love 'em!!

I received the lights the other day. There are eight puck lights with switches and 4 8" strips. Both have 18LED's.

I will test them tonight.

I ordered these from SuperBrightLEDs -- they were drop-in replacements for the bulbs in my factory CT lamp housings and are bright and seem to barely draw any power at all. Very happy with them.

Quantity: 2
Product: WLED-xHP10-D Wedge Base Bulb $ 14.95 (each)
Options: Warm White WLED-WWHP10-D

How did these work out? I'm considering those same lights, and was wondering how bright they are.....

We were in Sam's Club and picked up some dimmable LED spotlights (110v) for our kitchen track lights .... They worked so well I got a couple for my CT clip on lights ... At 6 watts each , they're bright and could easily run off the inverter... 15 bucks each ... Dimmable is nice if you want to go to the trouble of adding a dimmer switch ... mood lighting ...

Hope you can tell us how bright they are and hoe much surface they illuminate at so many inches away. In other words, are they suitable for reading or working in the galley or are they just cool accent lights?

Well, I can't tell you how they work yet. A buddy gave me a roof mount A/C so I dropped the trailer off at a shop to have it installed, should be completed Wednesday or Thursday.

Once I get it back, I will hook up a couple of the lights and see how they work.

Trying to get it ready for hunting season...my biggest concerns will be insulation and electrical system. Everything else can wait until after the season. :(
