New member and new build in MS

Postby willfish4fud » Sat Jun 28, 2014 9:21 pm

I just picked up a new Pace 6x10 and starting to outfit. I am a sporadically employed fly fishing guide and intend to travel and fish for a year or two or whatever. My hope is to have it wired, insulated and AC by the end of the week. Ill be heading to FL on the shakedown trip for some tarpon fishing. I plan to keep systems simple for now and use it and see what I need/don't need. Ive seen some great rigs on here and look forward to participating.
So far I have tried to post and I keep getting logged out so hopefully this time it works.

willfish4fud, Howdy;

Welcome aboard! Sounds like the beginnings of a plan. Looking forward to
seeing what you come up with.

Welcome aboard willfish4fud,
Sounds like you going to have some fun ... 1st building a CT Conversion and then getting to use it. One thing for certain, you sound like you have an immediate build in mind and are looking ahead for the inevitable changes and tweaks that make the trailer personal!
Good Luck and I hope you have as much fun as I am ... 8)

I have not had the issues you are having and can suggest that you keep your pics small as Amin suggests and if you continue to experience problems, contact the Admin ... they are great!! :applause:
Happy Camping & Building,
John (JC)

This week i removed plywood and insulated with 3/4 blue foam board in sides and 1" in roof. I then wrapped sides in foil bubble wrap insulation. I will do bubble wrap in roof tomorrow. I also installed exterior lights and roughed in all 12 volt wiring. Has been hot and miserable here so this stage hasnt been fun. But the interior build out is coming up n am looking forward to that.

Looks like a fun project. You should be able to make that into a nice home!

Welcome aboard

I'm glad to see that the Dow Blue board is finally catching on here,
It's hands down number 1 quality vs the pink or white.
Don't forget to put some on the floor & doors too

Cheers OTTCT

I live in the woods and internet has been hard to come by lately. I finished insulating and then built the electrical panel on a piece of 3/4 ply in my living room. I have a 12v system including a battery switch that allows switching between two batteries or paralleling them. I ran a separate line from the Honda 2000 generator to a dedicated outlet (bottom one). Then shore power runs through breaker box and has one dedicated circuit for 5,000 btu AC and another for miscellaneous. All lights are 12v LED. Air cond can be run by shore power or generator simply by unplugging from one and plugging into the other. Solar panels are not installed yet but are a future add.
