Tent Camping - Rock Run - Ralston, PA

Postby absolutsnwbrdr » Fri Jan 29, 2010 10:47 am

As far as I can tell I'm one of the younger people around here (27), but I've always loved camping! One of my favorite places to go is in Northern PA, about 30 minutes North of Williamsport. I found out about this place while going to school at Penn College of Technology, and I've been camping there every summer for the past 9 years. Its a on a little creek in the PA wilderness, called Rock Run. Even in the dead of summer the water is about 50-55 degrees. Its free to camp, you just have to register with the rangers, and theres only about 8 sites, so you arent anywhere close to anyone. Some pics from various trips:

Zach, you under arrest for the exposing the beauty of our PA wild places to outsiders.
Delete these pix and conceal the location at once! (or you will have to fight for your camping spot in the future!) Shame on you!

Zach, those are great pictures!! We went up near Wellsboro a few years ago and hiked the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania and canoed Pine Creek. We also went up to Ricket's Glen and hiked around the waterfalls. Love that area of PA!! Had some friends that lived in Williamsport for awhile. Dude, you're killin' me with those pics!!!

PS: I do agree with you, but do you think we'd do anything different? I'd probably smack the same trees again.
