Hopefully I will be bringing one gas lantern. I recently picked up a 200A off ebay. I made a really lowball offer and the seller accepted. It is not a birthday lantern (7/71) like a wanted, but everyone needs a few lanterns anyway right?

Here is the picture from the ebay listing.

Image

It is actually a dark red color, closer to burgandy. In the picture it does look darker, but I thought that was just the bad lighting. It was made in 10/61. It holds pressure and air comes through the valve as is should. I will clean it up a little and hopefully have a working lantern for the light up.

whoa, you did real well Dan. That color 200A is quite sought after by collectors, only came in that burgundy shade for about a year. Not easy to find in that good of condition. Great find for your first 200 model.

I apent most of today working on the herd getting them ready for the lightup. Last count is pushing 45 lanterns. All I have left to do is fuel them up, test fire and install mantles on the ones that work.
Here's most of the group.

Very Nice Kevin! That is a lot of lanterns.
Putting on all of the mantles and burning them in is the hardest part in my book..

Kevin Had an idea. We are going ot have an UGLY lantern contest. so if you have one you weren't going ot bring because it was an embarassment. You just may have a chance to win if you do!

There's one rule, it has to be a working lantern.

Great looking Burgundy you've got there Dan. :applause: :applause:

I spent most of this afternoon on my lanterns, 21 of them are testfired, mantled up and ready for IRG. 24 to go. Not sure what my final count will be but I'll do my best to get them all working.
