Well Pete , at least I caught ya lookin'

All the work kinda looks the same (just more and more of the same) so pictures were going to be a bit redundant.

I did get the 1" blue foam and it is ready to install as soon as the plywood is all secured. The rubber roof will go over top of the blue foam.

The rear purlins are all now installed glued and screwed in place.

I was sick as hell Tuesday thru Friday and got nothing done inside or out at home, and damn little at work. Slept 27 hours Tuesday and Wed night combined. I don't sleep 27 hours in a 5 day stretch normally. Saturday was the only day that real progress was made and Sunday was very hit and miss since I was trying to relaps to what ever had a hold on me.

However Monday emerged a pretty blue and sunny and I feel ready for anything so maybe a few hours each evening will help me get a jump on what I didn't get done.

Well Saturday is a comin' and I was able to find me a replacement roof rat. With a little luck and a tail wind the sheathing and the protective 1" foam layer should be installed by late saturday night.

Hell, dare I hope  maybe we can drape the rubber roofing over the dome and let it relax a bit. Monday and Tuesday next week is forcasted for rain and I really want the roof weathered in to a large part. That poor floor has seen 4" of rain and that's about enough. The fence post treatment is protecting it well but I just want it protected.

you are close to right.

I tore off that roof and redecked and shingled the entire house 10 years ago and thought nothing of it. I was up there about 5 minutes to get that picture and the neighbors all came out to find out what the noise was. It was my knees knocking nervously. The house is a 12 12 pitch and a 300 pound fat man has no business on a 45 degree inclined roof.

But I survived ! :)

Bob, I know what you mean. I see projects around the house that I completed ten years ago. Now, I wouldn't dare. Roofing, as your example, I wouldn't attempt. Remember, I'm a big guy myself and the last time I got on my roof I felt like I needed a walker. I enjoy your updates and might still attend your fall gathering.

Mike : Come on up, In fact Dan Galvin has an extra site on his hands because of a cancelation that he would like to pass off to another tiny trailer member. Look at the midwest section posting about the fall gathering for updates. We are gonna have a fantastic dutch oven breakfast cooking fest on Sunday.

True.

But, you would think for $65K you would get a door in front of the commode. It makes thing a little uncomfortable for visitors. :poop:
