Was looking for a camp stove

Postby Lookfar » Sun Nov 14, 2010 8:24 am

Stopped at a yard sale yesterday, thinking maybe there would be some camping gear. Found this, still in what was left of the box. Never been assembled, and even had all of the parts. Don't know how "vintage" it is, but I haven't seen one in a long time. Thought it was worth $2.00.

I was wanting a small grill for camping anyway. :D

Definitely a steal at 2 bucks!

I remember when those were all the rage, you weren't anyone if you didn't have a hibachi!

$2 Is a good deal if you use it. I guess I weren't anyone because didn't have a hibachi! :R They are way too small for us. Some friends of ours back in the day used one all the time.

Since there is only me I don't need a large grill, but wanted something. Has a little more character than many grills, and I've never owned one one like it before.
And I agree, the best part is that it was made in Spain, not China...

Butch, when my husband and I first started dating and got married, we used those all the time and went through quite a few. That's a great find and even better at just $2.00!

'way back when I lived in an apartment, a hibachi was all we could have for outdoor cooking. I have thought it would be fun to have one again, but nowadays they are sheet metal. Finding a cast iron one is awesome!
