I built a fire in it this afternoon....2 things I found out...it doesn't like excessive pressure and it likes more than a splash of fuel. The drawback to that is that getting fuel out of a tank like this is kind of a pain. I need a double holed rubber stopper with a couple of metal nipples that I can attach hose to. 1 I can pressure through and 1 to have fuel pour out of. After some fiddling around with it, it settled down and ran great. I think the gennie is maybe dumping some crud from the inside wall. I'll pull it and see later. At least it's a runner. Doug

I have been throwing around an idea to drain the last out of the tank when putting a pressure appliance to bed. Drain out what you can by pouring, then use a hand held vacuum pump with a catch canister like you would use to bleed brakes only install a chainsaw fuel pick up filter on the end. drop it in the tank and pump out what is left. Those filters act like a pick up screen and should get the remaining fuel.

Those are both good ideas. We were going to try a fuel pump for model airplanes they make one for gasoline. Ill report back on that.
