Free single burners...U pay postage...

Postby doug hodder » Thu Jun 10, 2010 12:20 am

I've been the recipient of many stoves lately, and since they are all gifts to me, I am going to pass them on to others for the price I paid...nothing. All I want is the postage to get it to you. If you are interested....I'll include an envelope that you can send the dough back in and we'll do it on an honor system. Can be picked up at the IRG. I just want to cover the postage on them at cost.

I genuinely appreciate the gifts of others, but I'm sort of overloaded on a number of duplicates, so thought this would be the best way to pass them along to others. Dave A has been most generous, thanks Dave!

From left to right 502-700 sportster...doesn't build pressure, has some rust. 2nd one...502-700, builds pressure, has some rust. 1 and 2 are 2-79 birthdates. #3...Peak 1 retail 33$..11/86 birthdate lightly used, front Svea 8R.

I haven't played with any of them and they are as is condition....no warranty expressed or implied...hey, it's a free used stove! Doug

Dang, teach me to not check this forum every 1/2 hour.

That Svea 8R would be nice beside my Optimus 80 that i bought new in the early 70s and packed it a few miles on my back here in Idaho and Yellowstone. Then some tens of thousands of miles on my motorcycle trips. Just last week I got it out of hibernation and the old thing fired right up with the old gas that was still in it. Nothing like the starting ritual and the sound of a VI buzz bomb in your camp. Then the cap gasket spring a leak.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Doug. Thanks much for the stove, its a real dandy! And for a Coleman nut it doesn't get much better than one that comes with the original box and instructions 8)

Now I am going to have to find a Peak lantern to go with it! :D
