New Find...BIG single Burner!

A buddy of mine picked this up for me.

He thought it was a "Camp Stove"

I think a Plumbers tool to melt Lead for Cast Iron Pipes.

However it should really bring a Pot of water for Corn on the cob or Steam some Crabs very fast.

Happy Trails

hey Len, nice find! A Coleman Handy Gas Plant. Looks to be in real good shape too. They were actually marketed as a commercial grade heating stove, lots of them seem to turn up in farm country. Especially from dairies. That baby will heat a 5 gallon bucket of water plenty quick. Or a nice huge pot of chili maybe?

I don't know them that well, but there should be a model number on it somewhere. Numbers like 457, 460, something like that. Cool stuff.

Shaun,

Is it a Coleman? I haven't started looking at it yet but it has the same technology as a Coleman or other Gas pressure items.

I opened the gas tank and it "Poofed" at me so it will hold Pressure.

Happy Trails

Update...I'll be Dipped! that's what it is! I'll have to figure how to pump it up now.

Len, yes it is. And a very popular addition for many collectors too. Take a look at the link below, about 2/3rds down the page you will see some examples and description. Thats a very kewl find indeed 8)

Len, they used the old style plunger pumps. But lots of folks just use a bike pump or a compressor with an air nozzle. Thats a big tank to pressurize by hand. Looks like the pressure gauge is intact too, a nice plus. 8)
