Let me start by saying this is the first time i have attempted anything like this before. Growing up in rural Arkansas I learned a lot about building things. If it breaks you fix it, If you want it you make it. Anyway I discovered the Teardrop around the first of the year and decided to jump in head first. I spent a few months reading, surfing, and lurking before I got started. Feb 17th I went and picked up a 4x8 HF trailer.

Working only on days when temps weren't sub zero, it took a couple of days to assemble. After trailer was finished I decided I might need a hitch on the TV. So i bought a hitch and wiring harness from Amazon. Following directions that came with them it was a pretty straight forward install.

The first injury sustained from hitch fighting back :?

My wife and I are both about 6ft tall so we decided that 4x8 just wasn't big enough so 5x8 with about a foot overhang front and rear with the radius's. So the overall dimensions ended up being 64" wide and 10' long. That way I can put a queen size mattress. Building sandwiched walls with 1/8 luan 2x2's and foam insulation. Floor is 2x2 frame with 5/8 plywood. Started throwing saw dust a few weeks ago and got a little carried away with dry fitting everything, so I decided to hit the brakes back up and start by disassembling everything I have done so far and start waterproofing as I go. Got the side profile and doors cut out already I will upload pics and add later.
Here is the profile I decided on. And my first design flaw found and fixed

and here is the progress before backing up and waterproofing.

Welcome. Looks good so far. Keep it up and keep the updates coming!

My eye went straight to the early 60's PU truck in the background. Care to tell us a bit more about that? Maybe match the theme to your TD to it for a sometimes classic combo (but use the econobox for most trips)?

Don't know if you really want to get me started on my truck. Lol. It is a 62 originally bought by my great grandfather. My grandfather had it restored about 20 years ago. As original as possible. When he passed away I inherited it. I have all the original paperwork including sales slip. The window sticker shows that it was ordered with chrome front end, 283 with 2 speed power glide, big back glass, and painted rear bumper. Looks as it did the day it left showroom floor. And if you can't tell I'm a little proud of that old truck.

Ow! I have a nice scar in the same place. Made me glad to retire from working on other people's cars.

That's a good looking profile and a good start. I'll be watching your build.
I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.
