the weather makes is a bit harder to work on the trailer but will keep fighting :)

Here is already the first Problem :o ,Well not really a problem just have to change the Axle idea in general :NC ,so what you see on the pic is the axle how she was build by the trailer manufacturer.Works on roads just fine ,but that's not what i want...

i thing i marked the U Clamp upside down the axle has to come under the spring not on top.
maybe we have to exchange the axle, as you may can see, at the first pic ,the axle is a Drop - Bolt Axle
So we will see as we go :thinking:

Dexter makes an axle flip kit to relocate the springs above the axle. I don't know if you have Dexter axles on your Skamper frame, but it's worth checking out at any RV dealer.

Here are some new pic's welding at the frame :twisted: (frame is upside down)

frame slide together and the top frame part is 48 inch long and ready for the hangers to weld on :)

front hitch part is now level with the frame,
the A-Frame Trailer Coupler part will be exchanged for a 3 inch Adjustable Tow Ring and a Pintle Hitch

Back bumper is 4x4 .3/16 should be strong enough for the back lights and 12 x 2 in. Hitch Receiver Tube
all the wires are going through the trailer frame and meet in a junction box somewhere in the front

Yesterday worked a little on the trailer :) here are some pics about the progress 8)

oh boy, 4 h only zip disk ,
had to replace the saddle on the axle
was 1/2 inch out off center,moved it 1/2 inch to the left and 1/2 to the right side axle is (was 62 inch) but i needed 63 inch

have to place the axle in her final place and weld the hanger on ,should happen this week,
the last pic off the day is with welded bumper on the frame incl receiver hitch

Hi Guys
finally it some work done :D
Some welding in the frame to hold 3/8 plywood in place ,for the under belly ,basic standard plywood for water protection from the road and so on,main job for this wood is to hold the 3 inch Insulation in place ,the wood need a black paint job next week before we flip the trailer,the black paint on the frame is just rust primer for in between the wood layers because cant to it later when the wood is mounted ,

plywood is a 1/8 inch higher than the frame :x
some silicone as a extra seal ,the rubber back paint stuff will do better just a extra

plywood fixed with self tappers 10x1 Inch (pre drilled with 9/64 drill bit )
