Nice build, been watching it for some time now and enjoying it.

How did you find towing it? It looks like you are using a hitch extender, and a long one at that. I don't think those are even legal for towing up here.

It tows great can't even feel it back there. The extention reduces the tow capacity to half the vehicle rating so 2500 lbs. It makes it so you can open the back door on the FJ and you don't have to worry so much when backing and hitting the rear corners. Averaged just under 20 mpg for the trip.

Hi Gary

I finished the trip by going over to Four Corners and then up through Colorado and back home. It was a nice trip I haven't been in that area before so there will probably be another trip down that way again.

I got the cabin cabinets finished today except for the doors. I will wait on the doors until the galley is finished. Next Im going to work on some of the electrical.

Yes it was made with the laser. It is a first draft I have to make another one because the switch holes weren't tight enough when it gets hot the switches fall out of the holes. I also need to change the labels. I ran out of black acrylic so I will have to pick some up this week.

I got the Galley cabinets finished today. Except for the doors. Here's a few pics



Trying to decide if Im going to use the ornaments here or leave them off.


Wiring is mostly finished. I need to decide where the battery is going to go
and run leads from the fuse panel to the battery.


I made another switch plate. I don't think the switches will fall out of this one.

The counter: The lip I see on the front edge, is that final?

Are you going to do a slide-out tray for the Yeti cooler?

My vote is to leave the ornaments up. Very nice!

Gary the counter is actually a shelf it's about shoulder high. The edge is like in a boat keeps thing from rolling off. I don't know if I needed it but, thats how it's going to be. I haven't decided on the tray for the Yeti. Right now you can open the lid about 3/4s of the way. If you move the cooler 6" the lid will open all the way. The last trip out the cooler went in the tongue box. I have lots of other things to work on some day I'll decide. I'm hoping to finish the lighting next and then insulated the hatch and skin it. Because the trailer sit so high the bottom is about the right height for the stove.

Paul I guess I'll hang them up. They match whats going to happen in the cabin.

Ok I tried to build some reading lights and they didn't work out. Does anyone have a good source for a nice reading light? The new LED ones are about $130 each and I hate to buy them and find out they are not very bright. That was the problem with the ones I made. I can buy a cheap led flashlight and it will just about blind you. So I would hope there are some out there that would be just as bright. I'm not looking for standard RV lights. So I was looking at the boating industry lights. Where is everyone getting theirs? Help!!
