:dancing: Go, Go, Go, Go :dancing:

Mine took a little while too, due to had to get a 2nd job to buy materials which in turn ate up my building time. Oh well, good luck and keep up the good work!
Oh, and by the way, don't clean up the garage too much, it prompts them to shove more stuff in it.

Yeppers! It's been stated around my house that the house is hers, the garage is mine. However, "somebody's" bird seed and other "paraphernalia" is encroaching on MY work space. Give 'em an inch......... ;)

Oh, and by the way, awesome cabinet doors with the aluminum!

I got the ceiling painted and installed and drilled holes through the spars, then I realized how dumb I have been about my wiring plans. I didn't need the holes in most of the spars, I have a wire run built into my frame and thats where most will be routed. I think I am ready to run my DC side of it.
On a personal note, my wife started working again so most of the time I am watching and feeding kids. I try to squeeze some build time when I can but it tends to be interupted. It would be a shame to let this nice weather go to waste.

Any updates? Pics are great!

Just wondering how it's going the last couple of weeks, if you've had time for the build?

The build has slowed down pretty much to a stop :( . My wife started working so my time is limited each day as well as funds for parts are down right now. I have been planning on some purchases for wheels, tires, battery, foam, canvass, coupler, hitch, lights, ect... Should be getting some money from Mr. IRS soon so that will help. There are things I could be doing right now but I'm just trying to manage life right now. I guess all I need is a good kick in the rear to get me going again. Thanks for asking, I'm glad someone is interested in progress other than me. I think I drive my co-workers crazy with ideas and plans, they don't get into it.

Here is something I have been thinking about: I want to skin with canvass, my roof is all spared up, so if I insert foam between the spars then glue another layer or two of foam on top of that, it will give me enough thickness to round the edges to make it look more like an airstream. Then I could canvass over that. But my concern is the rounded edges can't take a trim if I did this. I also have that skylight in the roof to worry about but I think I would put another piece of glass above it to make it double pane to make up the extra space. See, this is what happens when I stand still for too long... new ideas pop up and may take me back a few steps.

Just waiting for you to get "kick started" and going again, especially with the pics. I completely agree with wearing out the family, friends and co-workers with the details. They're like :?

Wouldn't recommend the second piece of glass in that thought, will fog up due to condensation since it's not "vacuum sealed" between the layers. JMHO

You'll get it going again soon

I know what you mean .... each day I do something.... draw, put a part together.... plan the next move but it time it works out.....I too have a long long parts lies and sometimes you find someone has the part and will trade or donate to your dream. There was a trailer from If I remember right canada who used bed sheets mixed with glue and covered most of their trailer. It seemed to work and looked really nice. The pattern got lost but it will looked good. Here they are Sam and Kat viewtopic.php?f=50&t=45718

Wouldn't it fog with just one pane if we were camping in cold weather? Or are you saying it will fog up and stay there for good since the moisture is trapped? This may be the deciding factor of my "air stream" look or just stay simple.

It always seems that water vapor finds it easier to get into an unsealed space bewteen 2 surfaces than the same water vapor can escape. So yes, double paning without a perfect air seal between panes will end up being a different sort of pain. The single pane windows can be mopped up.

I looked it up try

Glycerin is one of those little-known but often used items, and is non-toxic, colorless and odorless. You can buy it at pharmacies or drugstores

it said add a little to water and wash the window with it.

Life happens. It kept me from getting started for years. You'll get through it, and it does give you time to think. It's just one element of "Teardrop Time." Keep plugging away.
I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.
