Been there, done that! Can feel your pain. I hope your rehab goes well. I took me several months to get the full use of my thumb back after my "encounter". I didn't lose any digits, but I did lose parts of three nuckle joints and did some pretty severe damage to my thumb. But I still love my table saw.

Thanks for the encouragement.

And, I too, still love my TS. I can't blame the saw, it was just doing its job...and, I do have all of my fingers, which isn't the story with some of our fellow woodworkers after a close encounter of this kind.

Has anyone used the insulation made of denim? I've heard it works well, and has been treated to be fire and moisture resistant. It's said to be a "green" material. But, I've never seen the stuff.

Ouch, always one of my nightmares.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Very nice build. Hope your hand is alright. I dread using the table saw. With me its not the fingers that have had a bad experience but the RIBs. Needless to say one bad kickback and I now stand way to the side when I have to operate the table saw. I have been contemplating building a panel saw on the side of my shed so that I can forgo the table saw all together.

Inquiring minds want to know:

1. How is your hand doing?
2. Have you been able to work on your bread loaf trailer?
