@Cliffmeister2000 : When I posted the pic I had the same thought ... had to go double check ... the pic angle make it look that way, but no, it's not shorter (overhangs the same length at the other end), the radius and pic angle are deceiving.

TC (is that what everyone calls you?)

Your build progress is really moving along! Thanks for the pics and updates. At this pace, you'll be camping in about 1/3 of the time that I will be.

That's a big 10-4 on the smell from the CPES. My goof-up was that I applied it in the afternoon and then had to move everything back inside the garage because of impending rain. The smell permeated throughout our small home.

On a side note, when you post an update, you can go back to your first post and edit it to change the title of your build thread - something like "ZooZooBee - August 25 update - p. 3"

August 24-31st.

Continued working on wall #2
Cut openings and insulated:

Can you find my 3 years old in the picture ? (Hint: "caged") :)
Image

Then closed the wall (epoxy/foam glue) and applied weight:

And applied stinky CPES to outer skin:

Painted the inside of the walls too, and added a last coat of epoxy paint on the floor.

Next steps are sanding the wall bottom, and dry fitting them to the floor.

Then I'll apply a bunch more CPES to trailer floor edge and walls bottom.

Then it will be time to raise the walls, hopefully by this weekend - Excited about this step, it will start looking like a trailer :)

9/3/2010: Walls up !

I spent quite lot of time finishing prepartion on the walls on floor so they could be mounted, lots of sanding / CPES etc...

Yesterday I prepared the end walls framing (so I could use them to support the side walls), I set/glued them on the hardwood floor to ensure it was straight and square.

Ended up having to start this over as I had measured wrong (cm / inches screwup)
Image

I lined up the PVC electrical wiring from the walls with the floor and drilled the holes lining up and put some cpes on the hole walls, jst in case water get there at some point.
Image

I set the endwalls up (epoxied) and reneforced them, especially the front (wind pressure)
Image
Image

Then set one wall up - lots of epoxy and some deck screws from nder the floor and where it meets the wall ends.

Then the other wall up:

It looks like a trailer now !! n

In a pinch...

I enjoy following your build and the creative use of weights!!

Seeing what you have done, I've reconsidered outside wall sheathing. I had planned to save the task until last, but now think that all my wiring will go in either the roof or inside cabinets structures on the interior, so I'll sheath before assembly.

looking good!

Just a note from my experience and many others on the forum...

If you can sheath the inside walls now, before you put a lid on it, it will be much easier!
God Bless

LOTS of patience in this one. Go for it! Any help from the wife and kids? Do they share in your enthusiasm/obsession?

Mine is patiently waiting her turn. She will do the final sanding and finish. I HATE that stuff, but she loves it (and she is good at it). I just finished sealing the galley area with RTV and am waiting for a couple of hours to cure before installing the weather stripping.

Don't know how, but looks like I'm showing up a little bit late to this party.... it looks good! Nice compass that you used... appears to be the same brand as mine!

9/4/2010: Trailer electrical

I was a bit under the weather, so instead of doing heavy lifting, I worked on the trailer electrical (street lights):

No lifiting but lots of crawling :) under the trailer.

9/6/2010:

I started some work on the electrical (inside trailer), spent a lot of time gathering the supplies.

Mounted / wired the breaker box and Inverter(they will be inside a vented cabinet later).
I'm actually doing a fully 110V system because I would mostly be using shore power and I find 12V parts to be overpriced for the most part, and 110v stuff is more readily available.

More electrical work will be done while the roof spars are up.

I keep banging my head in the doorway (hard) .... so this helps :) :

9/8/2010 - 9/12/2010

I welded a jack (which can be swung horizontal):
Image

I've decided to do most of the large inside features(seating/beds/cabinets) before putting the roof, much easier to work while I can stand.

Image
Image

Here is my son trying is bed, that doubles as large storage compartment(hinged) - want weight in the back to keep tongue weight in check.
