Here is a pic of the critter hooked up to the new tow vehicle. The ranger does a excellent job pulling it.

I'm in the process of installing a A-frame tongue jack. The old harbor freight jack that I used on the side of the A-frame was kinda torquing the tongue. I had this plate welded on and I'll drill out the holes for the bolts when I get the jack.

I'm also in the process of installing LED lights. I figure they are alot brighter than incandescent lights and that would be a big plus.
I just about gave up on the idea of putting baby moon on the wheels. I can't come up with a good method of installing them so I might have to scrap that idea. When I'm done with these modifications I'll post some more pictures.
I'm just about done with the critter, I can't think of anything else to do to it.

Cliff

Real soon the critter will be about as done as I'm gonna get it.

Chris

The ranger pulls it very well and you're right, I can't even notice its there.

Here is a picture of the Bulldog jack I just ordered. I ordered it from etrailer.com

Good lookin' set up Larry!!!

I agree with you on the HF jack, I think you're going the right direction with the better jack and mounting postion.

Great planned mods Larry! I think you'll love that center jack, and you can't go wrong with LED lights.

I installed the LED lights but its not wired up yet. I'm gonna re-wire it and get rid of that crappy Harbor freight wire. I'm also gonna run a ground wire to all the fixtures to help eliminate grounding problems.

Here is a pic of the tornado that crossed the Owensboro bypass friday. We were lucky, very little damage.

Here is another pic of the same tornado.

Hey Sharon

I guess we were lucky. I live a couple of miles from where that tornado was at. We got alot of wind and hail and had some down power lines and yeah you're right, we should count our blessings. :worship:

I'm with you Larry. The harbor F trailer needs a center jack. Thanks for bringing it up.

Hey Kirk

With that HF jack on the side of the tongue it made it look like one side was lower than the other. It kinda twisted it.

The plate for the center jack is 8" wide and 1/4" thick. A local welding company did it all for me. They supplied the plate,

cut it, cut out the hole for the jack, welded it on and charged me $45. I thought that was a good deal.

I may have missed it, but did you get your LED lights as a kit?

Camp Critter......3-12-2012

Postby LDK » Mon Mar 12, 2012 3:04 pm

I finally re-wired the camper and wired up the LEDs. I ran a dedicated ground to all the light fixtures and when I first tried it, everything was ok except 3 of the LEDs on the left brake light didn't work. After giggling the wires and unpluging it from the truck and plugging it back up, the 3 LEDs came on. Question, should I ground it to the frame also??-------------- I'm still waiting for my tongue jack to come in. Etrailer had to backorder it plus the foot and maybe by next week I'll have it.
