:applause: :applause: Tom,
That is some great work. If I was that far along I would have already had a long weekend!! As you can tell, I have a long way to go.

Keep up the good work!

Your build looks great, Tom! I really like the tail lights. I think we have the same license plate bracket.

Not bad, I had three.

Looks good Tom!

:? I can't believe it has been almost six weeks since I've last posted an update. Most of the time has been spent doing a lot of uninteresting details.

I do have my HVAC almost in order. I'm using a Petcool mounted in a tongue box. The supply air is ducted through the back of the tongue box and front of the teardrop to two supply grills at the top of my front cabinet. The return air is ducted through the bottom of the tongue box and back underneath the teardrop to the bulkhead. In this picture I was mocking up the openings in the tongue box.

Image

For the return air duct, I used a 2" x 3" downspout. It was covered with 2 layers of 1/4" "bubble wrap" insulation and then an outer 3" x 4" downspout.

Image

This is a picture of the return air duct at the front of my teardrop running back to the bulkhead.

Image

At the bulkhead, the return air duct will end in a mini plenum that I built to hold a 12" x 12" filter. (The teardrop side of the plenum has a return air grill.)

Image

I next focused my attention on the galley. I installed a 1/2" plywood counter.

Image

Then I insulated the upper bulkhead wall and installed the engineered flooring that I'm using as a wall finish material. (The lower part of the bulkhead was finished some time ago.)

Image

I then built the lower cabinet face frame. This is a picture of it on the bench prior to assembly. (The plywood cleats help keep everything square and parallel.)

Image

And here is a picture of it mocked up in place.

Image

(The black area in the galley is where the return air plenum and filter will be.)

I am now switching my attention - pun intended - to completing the teardrop electrical system.

Thanks for looking and Gig'em!

Tom

Thanks Sharon and Rod. Your nice comments keep me moving forward.

I just found out that my work will be closed tomorrow because of a winter storm. (We don't know how to handle them here). So, if I can get a little heat in the garage, I'll get some more done tomorrow.

Heat up the garage and stay safe today. Looks like a bad storm.

Pray that everyone is safe and warm.

Thanks, Thomas.

I had to make some compromises with my galley layout. One of them was to not have a place for a cooler. I'm fastening the face frames and cases withscrews only in case I want to change my galley design later.

Taken are and I'll see ya at Beavers Bend if not sooner.

Hey Tom,

The cooler thing might be a blessing in disguise. I have only used my big cooler a couple times actually. Maybe it would be different if I packed more stuff, some people bring alot of food and drink. For my usage, I have to small coolers, one for food and one for drink, I just don't bring enough of any one thing to fill up that huge cooler. I like my medium sized one that is one wheels pretty good these days too. The only I think I use it for now is to bring spare ice for longer trips.

Tom - are you outta that blue tape yet? I have a theory that you'll be finished when you use that LAST roll of tape - Just razzin' ya tom - the extra time and effort really shows in your craftsmanship and attention to detail. Stay warm now
