I have an large supply of free waste oil from an automotive shop. FREE HEAT! If I only had more time!
I actually have used it to power my Cummins. I try to keep it to 25% when I do, waste to diesel. It is an oil burner after all.

He fired it last night. It burned for about an hour and a half and only used a little over an inch of oil out of the 5 gallon bucket. Temps at the stove were between 400-700 degrees depending where you checked. We have located a couple farmers that have several 55 gallon barrels that need gone. At the race shop alone I have 300 gallons of used gear oil and turbine oil. You're right... Free heat.

I worked at a dealership in NW Montana that used a waste oil boiler for ALL the hot water and radiant heat in the entire dealership. It gets cold there. They stored up to 3500 gallons of waste at a time. We always had to pay to have it hauled off (we used less than we needed). Makes one wonder about the bigger problem. :NC

Here in Indiana, we used to have to pay to have waste oil hauled away. Now waste oil reclaimers will pay you to haul away your waste.

I've been working on the minutiae of the body work, Brian... I'm in my wheelhouse now. The carbon fiber has gone away and the lines are crisp and straight! I'm very pleased with the result and so close to primer. I'm ready to see this thing all one color!

When I was still working as a Machinist I made several machined parts for one of the manufacturers of those commercial waste oil heaters. Mostly injector nozzle blocks from aluminum extrusion. They are remarkably efficient for what they are. If I had a shop of sufficient size that needed heating I would seriously consider getting one.

Wonderful craftsmanship in this build Atomic. I very much enjoyed reading through the progress so far. :applause:

Brian you might have missed this but that collection of helmets was found on Pinterest. It was a test photo for a new app and inspiration for the paint scheme...
