My plans are to sheet with aluminum. I could see using the glue and paint method as a good way to save some money. My 2009 teardrop has held up very well.

My CPES came today the body will get 2 coats with more time spent on the edges.

Curious, what was the thickness and how did you attach it?

6mm about 1/4" on the ceiling glue and just enough staples till the glue sets. The walls will be glued and pin nails to hold it in place while it sets.

are you familiar with the fiber/polymer nails & staples?

got mine from Duckworks along with the pneumatic gun to shoot them

don't rust and can be sanded & painted/varnished over w/o damaging sand paper

supposedly stronger than metal nails & staples

justa thought

First time I've ever heard of them. Haven't seen any rust on the 2009 teardrop. Not concerned about water getting to any nail, pins, staples or screws. I am terrified about water getting to any of the wood. If you look at my 2009 build you can see what I did to stop the water. It has no water damage. It has worked so good I'm following the same process I used then. Don't get me wrong though I'm up for new ideas just way to late on this one.

The insulation is in and the inside walls are up. I will do the trim a little later.

The aluminum looks great! What sheet thickness did you use? I have 0.04 aluminum on my build and it is too thick to bend in a roofing brake. How did you go about bending the roof over the front and rear walls?
