We are hoping that when the varnish goes on it will high-light the bamboo segments.

I will use a half/split length of Bamboo to cover the seam between the ply sheets

Frank, what size are your gas struts, and how do you work out the correct placement for them? And have you come across mechanical versions?

Thanks Wayne, it was good to finally make the time to call in and have the opportunity to see another TD under construction. You are making a great job
Thanks for the cuppa, and the peanut brownies really are just like Mum used to make. :)

I have managed to find two boot stays, $85 pair, these will be used on the galley hatch.

Is that another set of gas ones, or did you find some of the old fashioned locking slide ones we were talking about?

The really old fashion ones, they are called boot stays. I found one at the RV place at Otaika, and they managed to order me another, they are just what I wanted.
Off to Para-Rubber tomorrow to see the little racks that Dale got for your TD, plus some rubber seals.

Nearly there, the galley is well on the way, just starting the wiring, then the cladding.

Frank, we are looking for the same type of door stop that you have on your teardrop, can you let us know where you sourced them, cheers

Hi Wayne
We got ours from Recreational Concepts South End Ave. They come with a plastic bush with a screw in it to adjust the tension. We took that out as they hold well enough without.
