Nice photos and congrats for a successful first run! The stance of the teardrop looks great to take off to some rural camping!

Indeed! Thanks for sharing those!

Wonder if anyone has ever built a teardrop that's completely covered in diamond plate?

Just kidd-ing ya. Nice profile on the box, that must've been a challenge. Are those rubber mounts I see?

G.
I did see one that look to be all diamond plate.

The box is store bought from Lowes. The mounts are made out of Black Starboard marine plastic. Will see if I can still turn with it there. Might have to change it to the triangle box. I just want the space.

I got the porch lights finished today. It took me a half a day, slow going. I have been thinking about how I wanted to do them for a long time now. I thought about three different ways in my head and have been back and forth between them as to the way I wanted them. I have even ordered and received 2 kinds of lights for this, so I guess I am building a stock pile for future work. I want all of my lights to be led so they don't draw much power. I am not going to have a big battery. This is what they look like.

Starleen2 thanks for the kind woods!

A friend of mine had a custom made sheep herder trailer made for him here is a couple of pictures and a link to the rest of them. It is a pretty cool looking piece of work.

That thing is funky looking! It's kinda like a Vardo, but it has the strange 4-wheel configuration.

How would someone tow something with the axle configured like that?

A very standard design. The owner tells 65 mph straight as an arrow no problems. He did mention it was very hard to back up.

Started on the interior cabinets here are some pics.

Laser cutting panel.

First Panel Finished.

Panel glued in place.
Image

Center Panel in place. Used the laser to cut the template and then the router to cut the panel. The laser will cut 1/2" but it chars the edges.

Starting the trim.

Beautiful work!

What are the cut-outs going to be used for?

Speakers? Electrical panel?

Good to see you working on it again.

Hi Gary

Yes the cutouts are for speakers, stereo and switch panel. Work has been keeping me from working on it. I did get a trip in down the Mokai Dugway in May.

Here are a few pics from the last road trip.

Just outside of Hanksville Utah.

The Moki Dugway is a steep switchback system that decends about 1,100 feet in about 3 miles. The top of the switchbacks sit on Cedar Mesa 6,425 and drops down into the Valley of the Gods.

Here is part way down

This is at the bottom.

I did pass another teardrop on this trip down by Four corners. He went by so fast I could just see he was from Arizona and that was about it.
