Faux shepherds hut

I stared this over in non -traditoinal designs
you can read my about my quest here.

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=52390

but, here is where I will put my build journal.

It all started with wanting a simple camper for the hunting club. My son(s) and I go hunting almost every weekend from Mid Oct through late Jan. We wanted to keep warm and have a place to store stuff that was more secure than a tent and would have a shower and maybe a wood stove for heat.

we started looking for a camper and were ofter beat to the buy by other hunters. We were disgusted with the junk that people whould put on the market, thining that by puting the words "hunters special" it would be worth buying. What junk! and smelly too.
so we decided it would be better to build on an existing frame.
we found this frame on craigslist for about $220.

the original subfloor was just plane untreated wood, so we wanted this to last for a long time. We went with pressure treated and bolted it down.

the original trailer had a holding tank, which we discarded and framed over the space.

we wanted a good weather proof floor, so we went with half inch pressure treated ply.

as we progressed with framing, we wanted to cover up the old metal wheel wells.

and i built a door from some left over 3/4 inch pressure treated ply

so it was time to start thinking how to bild the roof and how tall it was going to be. My cieling is higher than the barn door.

my door has a header that is lower than the cieling, so i had to let the air out of the tires to ensure it would clear

everything went real fast last couple of days, so not a lot of pics of the progression.

here is where we finished it up enough to be road worthy (we hope)
