Sold off our Coleman Cheyenne and downsized... We purchased a 5x8 kit last year and after much procrastination I have started the process of building it

I had the kit for a month or two before I got motivated to start the build...

The original vapor barrier was intended to wrap up the edges of the siding under the aluminum... I Used a water proof flashing tape. I placed the tape on the frame with the sticky side up and laid the floor down on it allowing 3 inches of the tape to extend past the plywood. Before I attach the aluminum siding I will wrap the tape up and seal the joint where the floor and side walls connect.

Screwing the floor to the trailer frame. I left the peel off backing attached to the exposed flashing tape to keep it clean and free of debris until I am ready to stick it to the side walls

Treating the interior ceiling wood with two coats of varathane... 2 peaces x 2 coats per side x 2 hour dry time between coats = a LONG day :SH
But it had to be done and looks really nice now.

Attaching the ceiling...It should have been a simple task, but it was difficult to get the two sheets aligned. There may or maynot have been some minor profanity, a dozen clamps, 2 trips to the hardware store and lots of help from the wife :)

Now we are ready to assemble the cabinets. Glad I did a test fit, a few of the panels were a little to wide.

Well, things have been stop and go for me but I finished the trimming the interior, finished the electrical and installed some lighting...
Today I insulated the roof and installed the 1/8th inch vinyl sheet that goes down before the aluminum. I used packing tape to hold the insulation in place while I worked, since it was windy.

Used tie down straps to position it and hold it in place...

Then I used 1/4" x 3/4" staples to get it on smooth and tight... I was a little worried but managed to get it on perfect :worship:

Maybe tomorrow I will tackle the diamond plate and aluminum roof sheet... The aluminum worries me, I want it to look professional and it won't take much to make a mess

Looks nice. What size router bit and how fast was it turning to trim the aluminum?
