Glen, When are you playing? I'll keep an eye out for you. :)

Eagle, I think Glen will win. I always give away the beads I get. I'll be happy if I get one Hubig's pie for the season.

Ended up getting a couple days off. Made some progress on the inside today

I'm not sure when I'll be off again. Parades begin again tomorrow. I'll try and put up another update sometime next week.

Glen,
If you are looking for me I'll be dressed as a highlighter, standing in the middle of the street. We all look like we work for Boh Bros.

Mardi Gras is finally over!!!!...and Eagle you won't see me on cops. They weren't filming this year  I ended up with a rubber duck, a couple moon pies, some bubble gum, an Elks medallion and 2 Hubig pies. I gave away all my beads this year :) but not too bad of a haul for the season.

I had a little time to get some more work done on the boat. The mesh for the interior is all installed (held in place with staples in the foam) and about 1/4 of it is adhered. I'm using flat latex paint for the adhesive and it seems to be working well! I used the last of the gallon I had today, but was able to go to Project Green and buy another 5 gal for $30. I also ordered some more latex lagging which arrived last week. If the weather cooperates this week I think I should be ready to do a test run in the next couple weeks!!!

Loaderman, Latex lagging is made for hvac for as an adhesive and coating for attaching canvas to ducting. I think Atahoekid found an article in a canoe restoration magazine about it. I think there is a link to the article in the glues and adhesives sticky. I am unfortunately not smart enough to find it and attach it here. :) If I find it I'll PM you the info.

the boat is looking good. All this talk of Hubig's pies made google it. Those look awsome! I'll be in NOLA for spring break this year. I will certainly add that to the "must try" list.

http://canoeguybc.wordpress.com/2011/11/20/alternatives-to-traditional-wood-canoe-canvas-fillers/ Here's the link to using the lagging compound for a canvas canoe. I've had a hard time finding it but, Rosey seemed to have no problems.

Rat, coconut is particularly FABULOUS !!! YUM !!! ... They make so many flavors , all just as Great ... They do make a mean sweet potato pie too... :R Best not think about them or you’ll be as "hooked” as the rest of us ... they do have Quite a few Calories... restrictive intake is highly suggested!!! :frightened:

Seeing Rosey’s boat come along so Nicely really makes me think of something similar , with a small sail ... always windy around here, too old to paddle far , but I’m a sailing Fool !!!!
