The Big Pink : 10' foam standie ... windows in

Postby tac422 » Sat Sep 21, 2013 7:02 pm

I installed the windows today with the help of the LS.
I used 3M 5200 which seemed to work well. I'll need to pull the trim rings back off to trim the canvas on the inside where I folded it over when I cut the openings.
That'll give it a nice clean look on the inside.

I haven't done a lot, but I did get the plexiglass cut for the door. Originally it had a piece of 1/8" ? thick, but it broke. So I cut a piece of 1/4"
Here they are side by side, kinda hard to see in the pix. I did get it set in the door, but no picture yet.

I wasn't sure I wanted a top vent, so I just picked up these soffit vents. Since I had to order (and they were cheap)I got a 4", 5: and a 6".
I liked the fact there were little louvers.... and are 2" deep

I have a small fan I'll be mounting in one of these...

I had a fan in one vent, it really doesn't do too much in my opinion. when I added the soffit vents I left the fan out. Just having a 6" vent on each side took care of the condensation issue that having too small vents caused before.

I'm changing the tongue on the HF trailer to run a 2x2 up through the center of the A frame like the pictures I found below.
A tongue box is planned to sit in front of the tear, but I'm wondering how to mount the folding jack wheel.

If I mount it on the angled portion,(like the picture) Mine looks like it'll hit the box. (the Big Pink extends beyond the frame)

If I mount it on the straight extension, it will mean I've got to make the tongue longer to accommodate it.

I don't think I have room to install it like this ...Image

What I have ....Image

What I wanna do ....Image

How long should I make the extension beyond the A frame if I don't have to mount the wheel there ?
If I do have to mount the wheel there... can it be too long ?

It can be too long--or more accurately you have to make it really heavy if it gets too long.

You can get a jack with removable mount like this: http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/b ... wivel-jack

and an extra mount. You can store the jack across the top of the tongue (or in the tongue box) when hooked up.
