Rog, I don’t know if you saw the first couple pages of my Album , but there’s step by step pictures on typical mural painting ... That may give you some ideas ... and always remember, with graphic images , simple is Better... Less IS More !!!
For transferring the image , you can lay out the drawing , make corrections etc, all on a sheet of large paper (brown Kraft paper works fine) then use a star punch to perforate the final lines , tape it in place exact , use a bag (old rag) filled with chalk line dust , and pounce over the holes with the bag , leaving a series of dots underneath to indicate the lines for taping/masking off or whatever. I like to freehand between the dots (brush) ... saves tape and effort , and I think I get a cleaner line too ... For the other side , just flip the paper over... EASY !!!
Realistic is merely a matter of getting the colors right ...
