oof that is one grainy cell phone shot. sorry folks. I'll drag the Nikon out there later today and get a better shot. retrofitting the shop with insulation/drop ceiling is certainly going to be a challenge. I'm sure I'll manage though. The reward is a shop I can actually use this winter, and that will be more than enough incentive to get it finished.

Well, I didn't get back out to the shop yesterday, or not for long anyway. I had to cover for my mgmt. partner for his 'run'. On the WW front, reading the CNC thread has me thinking that I'll be working up my spars and what not this winter. I suppose that also means I need to get a design on paper at some point, eh?

Design on paper .... Yes , and in a CAD/CNC program too ... the tricky part...

I don't have access to a CNC system, so I'll stick with a good drawing. I've done some sketchup, but honestly it leaves me cold. I'd rather just draw out each 'item' in the trailer and have a detailed cut list. I'm pretty certain I'll have a 'weekender' style... (flat panels) vs 'teardrop' (curves/kerfing) design in the end.

Weekender is a Wonderful design (JMHO )... and you can see the influence in my Foamie #1... Trick is to make it wide enough for Big fellas like me ... :o

I like the grasshopper. Could be made with flat panels and a basis for my design. Although I believe the weekender is based on this design too.

I really like that design too. It served as an original inspiration but many changes later, I got what I got...

I'm leaning heavily towards a hybrid between a Weekender and a Wild Goose. The LOML isn't a fan of tight quarters, and I'm hoping that a lift top with rear galley/door WG style with slab construction Weekender style will work. I do like the grasshopper style though, and if I can manage a second trailer for my own camping, I'll probably do one of those.

Well.. we're technically in our 7th year as a married couple, however we're on year 15 together this time around, plus 5 years back in the day (high school sweethearts). I'm pretty sure that one trailer will have to suffice at this point. 8)

well I built my shop a few years back for that Man cave schtick... I spend too much time apart from her, so a lot of togetherness is what I'm building the trailer for!

We've been married 25 years now and it's probably a good thing I travel on business lest we spend too much time together   Don't let her know :NC :NC That would be painful :o :o I love my wife but as stated by someone smarter than me "familiarity breeds contempt".

I get the impression that my wife hates to see me not doing something.... There's always something that HAS to be done and that "Honey Do" list is never getting any shorter.... I think that if I were ever to be granted a "no work" weekend, I'd be so mixed up, I'd find something for myself to do. I think I've forgotten how to relax and do nothing  :?
