Hi yer GPW and Droid, there will be plenty of pictures once I start the build, have to get fit again from a 'bout' of epilepsy (does tend to slow me down) then I can get on with finishing the trike build first.
Shouldn't be any problem pulling a foamie with it, the trike's got a 1600 VW engine in so that's 50bhp or raw power but the whole vehicle only weighs about 550kg so waaaaaaaaaay less that the original car. Plus when towing over here we have a maximum speed limit of 60mph and that's on the motorways, so that shouldn't cause a problem.

87F here and HUMID as a Turkish bath ... even typing causes sweating :o Getting HOTTER later on in the day ... Muscle shirt (undershirt) shorts and flip flops here... and a Big Straw Hat ... :D
But a couple more days , and the press , blocking the entrance to the Studio, will be gone ... then I can work on the Foamie inside in the AC ... for the next couple months ... 8) Progress will be quicker and Much more "comfortable " ...

it was very strange experience to say the least. i never gave earthquakes a thought here. hurricaines, tusnamis, a rare tornado, but never an earthquake.

my couch started vibrating, and i was looking for my dog, i thought she might have been scratching and was hitting the couch. then the table started shaking, so i got up and walked all the way around looking for what was causing the shakes. then sat back down and saw the recliner and loveseat start rattling and shaking.

still never giving an earthquake a thought. that never entered my mind. the first thought was my dog, but not after the other pieces of furniture started to move. then i thought well they must have launched one of the rockets from nasa or wallops island. they do this often. and i figured maybe it was a sonic boom.

then my daughter came out and asked if i felt that, was it an earthquake? i said no, we don't have a fault line here, don't we need a fault line?

2 seconds later breaking news comes on with the earthquake annoucement.

so i was a bit freaked out at that moment.

so now we have to wonder what irene is going to do. i might have to get the foamie hooked up. might have to put the old door back on and get out of dodge. just keeping an eye on her right now.

a few years back when isabella came thru, we were suppose to get slammed by her hurricane 5 status, but in our area the only thing that happened was a leaf blew out of the tree. i had taken the kids and went to disney world. LOL left hubby behind to ride it out.

Isabelle might not have done much to you, but it knocked the snot outta the DC burbs. I was without power for 10 days (or more.. can't rem). Without the generator, I would have had a flooded basement.

I doubt Irene is going to impact DC burbs more than just T-storms and a little wind. You might get a little more wind, Eagle. I think it depends on whether it skips up the coastline or goes inland at the NC/SC border.

Meanwhile, I have *got* to get the grass cut before it rains. I think I lost my dogs in the backyard cuz it's so high LOL

Hugs,

oh yeah patricia. surrounding areas got slammed by isabelle. we were very lucky. i have no idea how we avoided it. it hit south and north of us, but it must have burped as it went over or around us.

Strangelymade, you might want to have a look at:

a) The no-longer-made Trident Companion as it would be ideal for building in foam, if you didn't want to go the whole teardrop-shape thing. There's some good photos on this British teardrop club website:
http://tcgb.freeforums.org/two-showers- ... -t582.html

b) The Tardis trailer is similar:

here's a website you can use for reference.

Some one else posted it earlier. It's a trailer designed to be pulled by a motorcycle and I don't think it's equipped with a 1600 cc engine. It's quite the build and I've locked a couple of their ideas away in my skull so I can incorporate them into the "Road Foamie" :D
